What is Home Care?
Home Care is a kind of health care assistance for patients with acute or chronic conditions or for those recovering at home. Truman Health has a multidisciplinary team of health providers from different clinical fields ready to assist patients, basing treatments and care on the needs of each patient. An important factor for patient treatment and recovery is the connection with the surroundings and environment. Our team goes to each home, and in accordance with the defined treatment, always working closely with the primary care provider, family and patient, the expected comprehensive care is provided.
For what kind of pathologies is home care indicated?
Truman Health assists adult patients with neurological, oncology, palliative, and bone conditions, or surgical complications and disabilities of any kind, also, other pathologies that may require home treatment. Care requirements maybe range from low, medium and high complexity depending on the patient’s medical history and diagnosis.
How does home care benefit the patient and its family?
- Patient’s quality of life is improved by returning home.
- Household members can witness the patient’s improvement thru treatment on a day by day basis. Each patient’s family and household routine is an important link in collaborating with treatment.
- Unfavorable effects of long term hospitalization are reduced, same as the possibility of hospital-acquired infections.
- Hospitalization psychiatric impact on the patient is fully avoided.
Can I call Truman Health in case of an emergency?
Truman Health does not work as an emergency service, in a critical situation patient’s family members should call an ambulance or other emergency response services. Truman Health will resume home care services as soon as the patient is discharged.
How is the Truman Health team formed?
Truman Health is composed by a multidisciplinary team of providers, specially trained in patient home care:

¿La internación domiciliaria presta otro tipo de servicios auxiliares como tareas domésticas también incluidas en el servicio?
The range of home care services does not include home aid services or household chores, nor does it substitute family duties. The Truman Health team will provide all required medical care defined for each patient, while household members or other people appointed by them will assist with all household chores.
Which provinces are covered by Truman Health?
Truman Health provides home care services in: Salta, Güemes, and parts of Rosario de Lerma. Also in Rosario, Santa Fe province, and adjacent towns. San Miguel de Tucuman and adjacent towns. San Juan and adjacent towns.
Employer Health Insurance or Private Medical Insurance Plans cover Home Care services?
Yes. Home Care should be covered by Employer Health Insurance or Private Medical Insurance Plans since it is included in the Mandatory Medical Emergency Program (PMOe), National Health Department resolution 210/2002, as a basic benefit that should be provided to all Health Insurance members.
